Ethiopia - One Thing to Sell

Ethiopian women trying to sell mangoes to people on my bus. The buckets of fruit cost half a dollar. Selling identical product means they have little available beyond enthusiasm to differentiate themselves in an attempt to make a sale.

WP_20131218_004Next are vendors in Nakuru, Kenya. Then as now I can't help but think that with more opportunity they would be working in offices or schools rather than peddling snacks in the bus stand along the street, which has to be more demanding of the mind than sitting in front of a computer.
